The pattern has held for multiple decades — across the entire NXP leadership team. From Christian's days as a chemist inside the clinical-trial process, through the JB Hi-Fi × Shopify call in 2017, to Cultivate Next with Chipotle, 1in8 Ventures with the oncologist who led abiraterone through the FDA, and today's work in space, food, and cancer research. Every vertical is its own firm-inside-a-firm, its own URL, its own co-conspirator group — sharing the same operating rhythm underneath.

JB Hi-Fi × Shopify — the merchant-independence call.

Amazon walked into Australia. NXP's operators were the outsiders JB Hi-Fi picked to answer five questions in ninety days.

Non-consensus 2017 call: Shopify, not enterprise. Seven years later, JB Hi-Fi's online business went from A$200M to A$1B+ and Shopify wrote it up as a flagship enterprise case study. The triad — Gammill at NXP, Ounjian at Everything Machines, Saretta at JB Hi-Fi — is still running the same operating rhythm.
